We're always amazed at how people choose to help out at The Connection. Here are some examples!

Knit Caps

While she wasn't feeling well recently, Sharon needed a hobby. So she started knitting winter hats for men and women at The Connection. She brought a bunch in and they were beautiful--different colors of yarn, different styles, and all hand crafted. We put them out and invited our residents to each pick one. They didn't last long, but our gratitude will. What a great way to cheer others up while you're feeling down.

Campfire Run

When Shae and Jeff Caldwell and Paul Brasby decided to do a trail run in the hills and canyons of Potter's Pasture south of Brady, they contacted The Connection to see if we could work together on it. Their superb event drew almost 150 participants on a perfect October evening for running, walking, chili and marshmallows. Paul and Jeff's sponsorship list and Shae's clever T-shirt design and publicity work ensured that there would be enough profit to share with us. The event will be back next September 29 and so will even more runners and walkers. We recommend it!
